[su_dropcap]T[/su_dropcap]he common term “Southern/Southern Dialogue” makes anyone who hears it fell like as there are conflicts between two major southern parties and a third party is trying to reconcile them. this is a common mistake. The term should be “Southern Dialogue” only to negate any reasons of conflict among southern parties. For example, a Palestinian organization may hold a dialogue with an Israeli one. This gives you a direct impression that there is a conflict between two parties and a third party should interfere to calm down the situation.
In case of the south, everyone agrees on the main goal of restoring the southern state but difference only appear when we talk about the means to fulfill that goal. We all agree that the union failed and north and south should separate. We all agree on the main principle but we have different opinions about the means.
Therefore, the correct term should be “An Inclusive National Southern Conference”. This is to give he impression that the goal is to unite all southern components under one specific goal.
