Chairman of the Southern National Assembly Meets Alliance of Aden Activists as Part of the Southern / Southern Dialogue

[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Aden – Exclusive[/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″][su_dropcap]G[/su_dropcap]eneral Ahmed Said Ben Brik, Chairman of the Southern National Assembly, met members of Alliance of Aden Activists on Sunday January 13th, 2019. Dr. Anis Lockman, vice chairman of the national assembly, and Dr. Sohair Ali Ahmed, member of the Southern Transitional Council’s presidency attended the meeting.
Ben Brik welcomed the members of Alliance of Aden Activists as part of the southern / southern dialogue to lineup all southern political components. Ben Brik appreciated the efforts of the alliance and its noble goal in pursuit of Aden rights and its history and identity in addition to establishing trust between the council and all other southern political components. He also called for unifying the political discourse of the south and abandon racial and regional calls that led to deep differences opening the doors to enemies to implant hatred and enmity among the southern.
Members of the alliance expressed their appreciation to the warm welcome by the council and its leaders in addition to tolerance and openness to other opinions. They asserted that the goal of the alliance is to search for Aden identity that is purposefully being obscured since 1967. They indicated the importance of rediscovering this identity through real partnership with the council to avoid marginalization and losing Aden’s history and civilization. They asserted that the alliance stands with the council in pursuit of achieving the main goal of the southern national cause.
