Vice President Attends Graduation Ceremony of a New Patch pf Backup and Support Troops
[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Aden – Exclusive[/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] [su_dropcap]S[/su_dropcap]heikh Hany Ben Brik, vice president of the Southern Transitional Council, attended the graduation ceremony of the 12th patch of backup and support troops, held for 60 days under supervision of UAE Armed Forces in Ras Abbas – Aden.
Ben Brik expressed president Al-Zubaidi’s greetings to graduates telling them that they are the core of the southern national army and the country needs their faithful efforts. He also addressed graduates asserting that what they learned from their trainers should remain in their minds as they represent the safety valve for their country and the whole Arab and Islamic nations through their struggle against evil and vicious agendas. Ben Brik also appreciated the generous support of Arab Coalition countries, especially UAE, in all military, security and humanitarian fields in the south and asserted that the south will never forget that.
Colonel Haidara Al-Mahrami, commander of the training camp welcomed attendants and congratulated graduates indicating that the training is part of the efforts of Emirati and Sudanese Armed Forces for supporting southern troops. He also thanked Yemeni and Sudanese trainers and the camp’s administration.
Graduates performed several technical and combat activities including self-defense, live ammunition engagement and weapon assembly. Appreciation certificates were delivered for prominent graduates and trainers.
General Shallal Shaia, chief of Aden police, commander Wasim Al-Omari, director of department of equipment and support in Backup and Support Troops, commander Waddah Kassem, director of public relations and brigadier Abu Taher, commander of the first brigade defense attended the ceremony in addition to other military and security commanders.
