Southern Writers Union in Aden Urges to Pay More Attention to the Southern Identity
[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Aden – Exclusive [/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] [su_dropcap]S[/su_dropcap]outhern Writers Union – Aden branch – held its second meeting in its headquarters in Khour Maxar to discuss recent developments. The meeting was headed by Najmi Abd Al-Majeed, chairman of the branch. Dr. Abd Al-Salam Amer, head of rights and freedoms department, Mariam Al-Afif, head of administrative department, Sabreen Al-Hasani, head of cultural affairs department, Alaa Hanash, head of media department and Mazen Tawfiq, head of financial department, attended the meeting. The meeting discussed several artistic and cultural activities concerning the identity, heritage and history of the south in addition to preparing a plan for holding them during the next three months. the meeting also discussed technical aspects of furnishing the headquarters in addition to the celebration of Aden Historic Declaration. They also discussed several activities to held during Ramadan. It is noteworthy that the union held a forum titled “Salah Al-Bakri … Historian of the Arab South” on Wednesday April 24th, 2019 at the union’s headquarters.
