Al-Zubaidi Meets French Ambassador to Yemen
[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Abu Dhabi – Exclusive[/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″][su_dropcap]P[/su_dropcap]resident Aidarous Kassem Al-Zubaidi of the Southern Transitional Council met Mr. Christian Tisto, the French Ambassador to Yemen, in Abu Dhabi. The meeting discussed several critical files concerning political, military and economic issues in the south, especially in Shabwa and Al-Dhala’a, in addition to discussing the practical developments of the political process and UN efforts to stop war and reach political settlement.
Al-Zubaidi asserted the fixed attitude of the council in supporting the Arab Coalition in their efforts of fighting terrorism and reaching peace in addition to guaranteeing the full right of the southern people and their participation in upcoming negotiations. He also appreciated the French efforts in reaching peace asserting that the French interests represent top priority in the south calling the French government to take a positive attitude towards the southern cause and the southern right in self-determination and living in peace.
The French ambassador expressed his happiness with this meeting and appreciation of the southern transitional council’s efforts in dealing with all situations and all files rationally. He also indicated that there will be a new political stage that will acknowledge all current variables.
Mohamed Al-Ghaithi, deputy chairman of the external affairs department of the council, attended the meeting.
