Al-Sokatri chairs meeting to discuss National Assembly’s recommendations about future options

Major General Salem Abdullah Al- Sokatri, Assistant Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, chaired on Tuesday, a joint meeting between the two mini-committees of the National Assembly and the General Secretariat, to discuss the National Assembly’s recommendations resulted from the third session of the National Assembly on dealing with the next stage.

The meeting reviewed the perceptions submitted by the National Assembly on proposals to deal with the current circumstances and the next stage in accordance with the developments taking place in the local scene in light of the political conditions and the obligations of regional, Arab and international accords.

The Assistant Secretary-General appreciated the efforts made in this context, stressing on the necessity of subjecting all insights to more accurate and profound studies and taking into account the challenges presented today in all their geopolitical dimensions and complications and the use of specialists with expertise and competencies in all fields and levels to develop successful proposals that would help southerners in moving forward, with steady and confident steps towards the desired future that meets the hopes and aspirations of the people of the South.
