The President of the Republic, President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi, issued a decision of appointing Mohammad Ali Yasser, as governor of Al-Mahra governorate, to replace governor Rajeh Bakreet in an unexpected procedure, especially after the signing of the legitimacy an agreement with the Transitional Council under the auspices and supervision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The decision of the President of the Republic to appoint the governor of Al-Mahra is a decision contrary to the terms of the Riyadh Agreement and to the second and fourth paragraph of the political attachment, which says in its second paragraph appointing a governor and security director for Aden within 15 days in consultation with the Transitional Council, as well as appointing a governor and security director for Shabwa, Hadramout, Al-Mahra and Socatra within sixty days of the agreement In consultation in its fourth paragraph.

The decision of the President of the Republic in the form that was taken is considered a clear blow to the Riyadh Agreement and a new breach proves that the legitimacy is not committed to its implementation and is not serious or sincere in its implementation, which strengthens the narration of the Transitional Council, which clarified more than once that the legitimacy is the one that creates obstacles and works to evade and delay the implementation of the agreement. .

Observers believe that this step would change the progress of political developments, and the country may be facing new scenarios in light of the declaration of legitimacy and its veto and blasting the Riyadh agreement.
