# The Southern forces stand up against the Houthi violent attack in Al-Fakher

The units of the southern forces, at 12:30 am on Sunday, 1 March, were able to counter a violent attack by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia on positions of southern forces in Habil Al-Abdi and Lukm Othman, south of Al-Fakhir.

According to the commander “Mohsen Muhammad Ali Al-Mashriqi” violent clashes were used in armor and machine guns in the sites of the “second” thunderbolt brigade and the “fourth” brigade and the brigade of the martyr al-Shubaji, and the brigade 30 armored forces, in Habil al-Abdi and around of Lokman Othman, following a new militia attempt to advance by the confrontation area there.

According to the commander, “Mohsen Al-Mashriqi”, the southern forces dealt with the violent militia attack, and forced the militia members to retreat towards their previous barracks.

The Al-Fakher front is witnessing continuous escalations in the field from time to time in light of desperate militia attempts to reoccupy a number of strategic locations that it lost in the battle of October 8 last year.
