Homes of civilians in #Al-Ma’afir of Yemeni #Taiz city are stormed by Islah militia
Armed clashes took place between elements of the Islah militia affiliated to the Yemeni government and some of the people of Al-Khayami village in Al-Ma’afir District in Taiz governorate
Sources said that the Special Security Forces, controlled by the Islah militia, raided the homes of Al-Khayami village in a provocative manner under the pretext of searching for wanted persons.
The sources added that these raids caused a state of panic and terror among women and children, which led to clashes with a number of villagers who refuse to do so.
The sources noted that the preliminary information received from the village of Al- Khayami confirms that a number of militia members were wounded, amid expectations that clashes would break out once again, in light of the special forces of Islah militia pushing with new reinforcements.
