The Southern Transitional Council welcomes the speech of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II regarding the Corona pandemic
The Southern Transitional Council’s General Department of Foreign Affairs praises and welcomes the speech of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Britain, regarding the Corona pandemic, the speech in which she referred to heart-warming stories that took place in the Commonwealth countries and around the world.
This speech comes at an exceptional time for the world and the United Kingdom, and in Southern Yemen where the Southern Transitional Council works hard – despite the lack of capabilities – with all spedialised local and international organizations in implementing all preventive measures and incentivising the relevant sectors and volunteers, for the safety of the southern people.
We take this opportunity to reveal the humanitarian and health situation in the South, hoping that the government of the United Kingdom and its authorities would be able to provide and raise the volume of support for Southern Yemen. This prevents our country the dangers of the pandemic, and we could take the same steps and momentum required as stated in the speech of Her Majesty this evening.
We also affirm that the Southern Transitional Council is ready to work with the British authorities professionally and with transparency to spare our people a tragedy and suffering in light of a war in which basic necessities do not exist, where the situation may further complicate what is already known as the worst humanitarian crisis in the world. That is why we affirm that we will work to implement the same steps and preserve the same values as those mentioned in Her Majesty’s speech.
