The General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held, on Wednesday, an extraordinary meeting, headed by Major General Salem Al-Socotri, the Assistant Secretary-General, to stand before the latest developments on the southern scene.

In the meeting, Major General Al-Socotri stressed that the current situation in our country requires everyone’s contribution, especially in light of the rapid spread of the Corona pandemic and the fever that took the lives of the citizens.

Al-Socotri indicated that the decision of the Self-Administration of the South, which was announced by the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, came after the people of the South suffered from a deteriorating situation in various sectors, particularly the services sector.

The meeting reviewed the services conditions in Aden the capital, and the southern governorates, particularly the electricity service, which witnessed a noticeable improvement in operating hours, following the directives and actions taken by head of the Self-Administration, Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik.

The meeting called on all citizens to adhere to the precautionary measures to contribute to containing the outbreaks of the Corona pandemic in the south, and specifically to adhere to the times of the partial curfew approved by the Transitional Council through its official spokesman.
