Professor Mohammad Saeed Al-Amoudi, the former president of the University of Aden and a famous chemist, is still without a monthly salary or any financial dues, since 1998. The journalist Maarouf Salem Bamarhool said in a post on social media: that the late President Ali Abdullah Saleh issued a decision to dismiss Al-Amoudi from the Presidency of the University of Aden, due to his refusal to implement the first directives to accept (soldiers and officers) to study in the colleges of the University of Aden who do not have a high school diploma, as well as his refusal to grant some members of the educational body degrees and titles due to their lack of the required scientific qualities that qualify them to deserve those degrees and titles. He added: I agreed with my friend, the chemist, Professor Dr. Mohammad Saeed Al-Amoudi, the moment he returned from the capital, Riyadh, to the city of Jeddah, that he will hand me an integrated file containing important documents on the issue of his salary and financial dues for the purpose of publishing it.

It is noteworthy that Al-Amoudi is a scientist and professor of chemistry with an international reputation, Chancellor and as Chancellor of the University of Aden accomplished many achievements.
