Major General Bin Brik gets awarded with shield of loyalty and gratitude from Union of Southern Authors and Writers
Major General Ahmed Saeed Bin Brik, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council, and Chairman of the National Assembly received, on Tuesday, at the Assembly’s headquarters, the Shield of Loyalty and Gratitude for the year 2019, from the Union of Southern Authors and Writers headed by Dr. Junaid Mohammad Al-Junaid.
The awarding of the memorial shield to Major General Bin Brik came in exchange for his great tender and self-denial, and the insistence on fulfilling the national aspirations of the southern people in all southern geography, and an affirmation of his glorious historical and militant role, to restore the glow of the southern man in general and the bearers of the torches of thought, enlightenment, culture, literature and art in the provinces of the homeland, as well as in recognition of his contributions, efforts and generous support in establishing the Union of Southern Writers and its branches in the governorates.
The Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council expressed his thanks to the President of the Union for granting him this memorial shield, appreciating the efforts made by this segment (writers and authors), and their struggle role in order to restore the state.
Major General Bin Brik urged southern writers and authors to express the needs of the southern issue and current developments through various literary and artistic works.
In turn, the head of the Southern Authors and Writers Union, Dr. Junaid Al-Junaid emphasized that the cultural front is no less important than the political and military front, but rather runs parallel to it, indicating that the union, with its southern writers and authors, follows the national line supervising the victory of the southern cause.
