SMA NEWS – Aden the Capital

The Executive Office in the capital, Aden, welcomed the large-scale security campaign that was launched on Tuesday, and aims to prevent unlicensed weapons and unmarked cars in all regions and districts of the capital.

The Executive Office, in its meeting, which was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, Governor of the capital, Aden, praised the campaign as fulfilling the need of Aden to rid it of the spread of weapons and roaming with it, as well as unnumbered vehicles and their movements, which resulted in real dangers to the security of the capital.

Aden executive also praised the Electricity Corporation’s campaign to remove the random and double connection that was launched recently, stressing at the same time the need to deal seriously and strict with these violations, not to be lenient with the perpetrators, and the continuation of the campaign until the goals for which it was launched are implemented.

The capital’s executive called on all citizens to cooperate fully with the security and executive agencies charged with implementing these campaigns.

Governor Lamlas opened the meeting with a speech in which he briefed the attendees on the most prominent achievements of the governorate leadership in the context of its tireless efforts to lift the service situation, explaining to them the details of the 100 megawatt lease contract to enhance the generating capacity of the capital’s electricity.

During his speech, he stressed the importance of the success of the security campaign that was launched on Tuesday, given its positive future repercussions on the security and stability of Aden and its cultural and visual appearance.

Lamlas called on members of the Executive Office to be at the forefront of initiating the placement of weapons, not allowing to carry it and roam with it, and number their cars to be role models for citizens.

Lamlas added, “Aden is a city of peace, and many bet on it to be a city of spread of crime, but we assure them that their bet is lost. Aden and its people are the first to confront terrorism before its security forces, because its people are peaceful and it is a city of peace.”

Governor Lamlas noted that “security and stability in Aden cannot be established, unless there is cooperation from the citizens. The past period has proven the extent of cooperation of the people of Aden with the security authorities, and thanks to that cooperation, the perpetrators of many crimes were thwarted and arrested, so we are confident that Aden is safe and stable.

Governor Lamlas pointed out that the governorate’s leadership is “fighting battles on several fronts, such as the terrorism front, sabotage hopes, and the development front, and therefore we are challenging, and indeed we will confront everyone who tries to compromise the security of Aden and those who fight its development.”
