Al-Ahly wins the Egyptian Clasico by defeating Zamalek by five

Al-Ahly won a wide victory at against its traditional rival, Zamalek, with a score of (5-3) this Friday evening, in the match hosted by Cairo Stadium, in the presence of two thousand fans, at the end of the third round of the Egyptian League.

Al-Ahly advanced with a goal in the 16th minute through Malian Alio Diang, then Tunisian Ali Maaloul scored from a penalty in the 20th minute, then Mohammed Sharif scored the third goal in the minute 25.

Zamalek tried to return to the match with a goal by Mustafa Fathi in the minute 50, but Al-Ahly scored the fourth goal with Diang’s shot in the 52nd minute, and Maaloul scored the fifth goal from a penalty kick in the 65th minute.

Zamalek rose up and scored a second goal in the 78th minute, by Ahmed Sayed Zizou from a penalty kick, and the white team scored a third goal in the minute 90 through Moroccan Ashraf Bencharki.

Al-Ahly, led by its South African coach, Pitso Mosimane, raised its points to 9 points, topping the league standings with a goal difference from Pyramids, while Zamalek received its first loss under the leadership of its French coach, Patrice Carteron, and its balance froze at 6 points in fourth place.
