Al-Kathiri meets Head of Transitional Council Executive of Hadhramaut and briefs him on activities National Southern Media Authority

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, head of the National Southern Media Authority, official spokesman of the Southern Transitional Council, met on Thursday, at the headquarters of the National Media Authority in the capital, Aden, with head of the executive body of the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council of Hadhramout governorate, Brigadier General Saeed Ahmed Al-Mohammadi.

In the meeting, which was attended by members of the National Southern Media Authority, Al-Kathiri presented a brief explanation of the activities of the National Authority’s sectors, reviewing its most prominent tasks and specialized media activities and its role in strengthening the southern national media in general.

Mukhtar Al-Yafei, Vice Chairman of the National Media Authority, Head of Radio and Television Sector, spoke in the meeting stressing the importance of strengthening and developing media work in the South in general, and in Hadhramout in particular, given the current circumstances surrounding it, reviewing the upcoming media plans and programs that are being worked on for the governorate, foremost of which is the training workshop to be organized by the Media Department in the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Council for members of the media administrations of Hadhramout Transitional Council local leadership, stressing the keenness of the National Southern Media Authority to harness efforts to achieve these plans and programs.

The Members of the National Authority for Southern Media also provided a brief explanation of the most prominent features of the media work carried out by the National Authority in general on the southern arena, stressing the effective role of the southern media to align together and work to unify the southern media discourse and the orientations of media work institutions.

For his part, Brigadier General Saeed Al-Mohammadi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the presidency and members of the National Authority for the warm reception, praising what he was briefed on the activities and tasks of the Authority’s work and its important role in the southern society, providing the Authority with a general overview of the nature of the needs and obstacles facing the media work in Hadhramout governorate, stressing that the National Southern Media Authority represents an important media entity and a national achievement that southerners can be proud of.
