Media Information Department and Training and Rehabilitation Sector conclude training course for members of media in Shabwa and Al Dhalea governorates

The media information department in the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council concluded, on Thursday, in the capital, Aden, a training course that it organized in cooperation with the training and rehabilitation sector of the National Southern Media Authority, in “Editing skills and creating digital content.” for members of media administrations in the of the Transitional Council Executives in Shabwa and Al-Dhalea governorates.

Mr. Fadhl Mohammad Al-Jaadi, Deputy Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, delivered a speech at the conclusion of the session, in which he stressed the importance of the participants to apply the scientific knowledge and journalistic skills that were given to them during this session in their practical reality.

Al-Jaadi pointed out that the next stage requires effective media to keep abreast of all events and developments in the field of the southern arena, wishing all participants success in their practical tasks.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Haw, Head of the Training and Rehabilitation Sector at the National Southern Media Authority, delivered a speech in which he praised the level of trainees’ performance during the course.

Al-Haw stressed the need to absorb what was taken during the training course, pointing to the importance of creating meaningful and impactful media content and providing appropriate media that keeps pace with the developments of digital and electronic journalism.

After that, Mr. Fadhl Al-Jaadi, Deputy Secretary-General, along with the two members of the National Southern Media Authority, Dr. Bassem Mansour, head of the Media Information Department, and Dr. Abdullah Al-Haw, Head of the Training and Rehabilitation Sector, distributed certificates of completion of the course to the participants in appreciation of the efforts they made during the course of its session.

During this five-day course, the participants received training in news-making, terminology and concepts of the council’s media policy, methods of creating digital media content, and techniques and applications that assist in its creation.
