Training and Rehabilitation Sector of National Southern Media Authority inaugurates training course for media members in Abyan and Lahj governorates

The Training and Rehabilitation Sector of the National Southern Media Authority, on Sunday, inaugurated a training course for members of the media departments of the executive bodies of the local leaderships of the Transitional Council in the governorates of Abyan and Lahj, under the generous patronage of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Southern Transitional Council, and in the presence of Mr. Fadl Mohammed Al-Jaadi, Deputy Secretary-General at the Secretariat General of Presidency of the Council.

In the course titled “Press and Photography Editing Skills”, Mr. Fadl Al-Jaadi, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the participants from the media departments in Abyan and Lahj, praising their efforts to reach the capital, Aden, to receive scientific and practical knowledge in the media.

The Deputy Secretary-General stressed the importance of adhering to what is to be presented in the training session, which will contribute to raising the level of media capabilities of the participants, wishing them success and transferring all the information that will be provided to them to their practical reality.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Haw, Head of the Training and Rehabilitation Sector, started the course with a welcoming speech at the beginning of Mr. Fadl Al-Jaadi, Deputy Secretary-General, and Dr. Bassem Mansour, Head of the Media Information Department in the General Secretariat, noting that the session will contribute to raising media capabilities and raising awareness of the importance of addressing issues on the Southern arena, recognizing the importance of communicating the voice of the southern citizens through various media.

Al-Haw presented a brief explanation of the training program that the participants will receive in the course, which will revolve around the methods and techniques of press editing, and other journalistic skills.

During the first day of the three-day course, the 20 trainees received a political lecture on the southern national identity and the role of the media in highlighting it, and another lecture on photography skills, in addition to practical training on what was presented.
