Governor of Socotra meets executives of straits and security systems

Ahmed Abdullah Ben Hamdoun, Governor of Socotra, met executives of straits, security systems and military personnel in Socotra. During the meeting he stressed the security of straits and keeping security and order in the archipelago. He also asserted the need for a qualitative change in managing the straits as a vital passage linking Socotra with outside world. Furthermore, he asserted the importance of legal governance of straits and its positive effects on services and development of Socotra. The governor listened to problems faced by the managers of the port and airport and stressed the importance of good treatment for all according to the law. Eng. Raed Al-Griby, deputy governor for islands affairs attended the meeting.(SMA)
