Leaders of Southern Women’s Supreme Committee meet with Governor of Shabwa

The leadership of the Southern Women’s Supreme Committee of the Southern Transitional Council met on Sunday, with the Governor of Shabwa Governorate, Sheikh Awad Mohammed bin Al-Wazir.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Najwa Fadhl, head of the Southern Women’s Supreme Committee and advisor to the President of the Southern Transitional Council for Women’s Affairs, congratulated the southern victories that were achieved in the governorate by defeating the Houthi militias and liberating it from its defilement.
Fadhl expressed her hope that the governorate’s leadership, led by the governor, would pay more attention to women and encourage them to obtain their rights and overcome difficulties in front of them, and to involve them in administrative positions in the governorate.
In turn, the Governor of Shabwa stressed the importance of the role that women play in Shabwa at various political, economic, social and cultural levels, praising the great roles played by women, especially working women, pointing out that the local authority will work to encourage women to take their share of the job, study, care and attention.
The meeting was attended by Ms. Aisha Taleb, Chairperson of the Women’s Committee in the National Assembly, Deputy Head of the Committee, and Ms. Ishtiaq Mohammed Saad, Head of the Woman and Child Department in the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, Advisor to the Chairperson of the Committee, and Ms. Intisar Khamis, Advisor to the Chairman of the National Assembly for Women’s Affairs, member of the Supreme Committee for Southern Women, and Ms. Yousra Salem, Director of the Woman and Child Department in the Transitional Council Executive of Shabwa governorate.
