Establishing the International Museum of the Prophet’s Biography in the Kingdom of Morocco

The Muslim World League (MWL), in cooperation with the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) and the Muhammadiyah Association of Scholars in the Kingdom of Morocco, announced the start of preparations for hosting the International Exhibition and Museum of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization, with its headquarters in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, at ICESCO headquarters in the Moroccan capital Rabat under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammad VI, King of Morocco, coinciding with the celebration of Rabat as the Capital of Culture in the Islamic World for 2022.
This announcement follows a meeting chaired by Dr. Salem bin Muhammad Al-Malik, Director-General of ICESCO, and Dr. Ahmed Abadi, Secretary-General of the Muhammadiyah Association of Scholars in the Kingdom of Morocco, while the Muslim World League was represented in the arrangement of this important event by the Secretary of the Board of Directors of the International Exhibitions and Museums, Dr. Nasser Al-Zahrani, representing its Secretary General President of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Head of International Exhibitions and Museums of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization around the world, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa.
This International Exhibition and Museum of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization, which is being hosted by Al-Madinah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a major center, is receiving further follow-up and support in light of the great interest in Islamic affairs, especially the biography of our Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, from the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, May Allah Almighty protect him, and his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad bin Salman, may Allah Almighty protect him.
The main headquarters of this museum in Al-Madinah was visited and praised by a number of their excellencies and highnesses, and they saw in it a global Islamic landmark that overflows with civilization and humanity through scenes of the biography through the latest modern methods of display under the slogan “The Prophet’s Biography as If You Live It.” Moreover, the scholars of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Declaration (The Charter of Makkah) praised the museum on their visits to it.
In principle, it was agreed to establish sub-headquarters for this museum in a number of Islamic countries at the direct request of the kings, heads of state and heads of government, and the rulers of capitals. The cornerstones of some of them were laid in an official ceremony.
