Media and Information Department visits Media Administration of Transitional Council Executive in Abyan

The Media and Information Department in the General Secretariat of the presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), headed by Dr. Bassem Mansour, head of the department, member of the National Southern Media Authority (NSMA), on Monday, paid an inspection visit to the Media Administration in the executive body of the local leadership of STC in Abyan governorate.

During the visit, Dr. Bassem met the members of the Media Administration in presence of Mr. Khaled Al-Abd, Deputy head of the executive body of the local leadership of STC in Abyan, in which he delivered a speech conveying the greetings of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Southern Transitional Council, supreme commander of the Southern Armed Forces, confirming that President Al-Zubaidi pays all care and support to the Southern Media to convey the message of STC that represents the cause of the South and its people.

Dr. Bassem affirmed that such visits come within the frame work of the department to inspect the performance of Media Administrations, stressing the keenness of Media Information Department to check on the difficulties and challenges facing the media administration of the Transitional Council Executive in Abyan and all governorates of the South.

For his part, the deputy head of the executive body in the local leadership of STC in Abyan stressed that the southern media is the most important weapon to confront the opponents of the south who are trying to undermine the cause of our southern people, pointing out that this stage requires the solidarity of all and not to deal with rumors that the enemies use to sow sedition.

In turn, Mr. Ali Al-Jadani, head of Media Administration in the Transitional Council Executive in Abyan delivered a speech in which he welcomed Dr. Bassem Mansour and the Media team of the department who accompanied him, noting that this visit is the first for the department to Abyan since 2018, providing an explanation of the work activities of the media administration in the governorate and its districts, and the difficulties and challenges that they face in their work.

During the meeting, Dr. Bassem and the Media Administration discussed proposals and ideas that would develop the performance of the media administration’s work in the governorate and its districts and overcome the difficulties facing its work, and the perceptions aimed at developing the southern media message.
