The Houthi militia obstructs the first flights from Sana’a Airport to Jordan
SMA NEWS – SANA’A
The Iran-backed Houthi militia has refused to grant Yemeni Airlines permission to operate the first flights from Sana’a International Airport to the Jordanian capital, Amman, which is scheduled to start on Sunday.
The airlines revealed that they had opened the door to book tickets for passengers on this flight, and had completed their technical preparations in terms of the plane’s arrival and take-off time, and then its return to Sana’a International Airport from Amman.
Several international parties welcomed the decision to conduct the flight, which is the first of its kind in six years, but the militia continues to try to claim injustice and deepen human suffering.
The decision to operate flights from Sana’a International Airport is one of the tasks agreed upon between the parties to the conflict to establish the armistice that began with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan under the auspices of the United Nations.
