President Al-Zubaidi stresses importance of strategic projects in electricity sector

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, Deputy President of the Presidential Leadership Council, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, stressed the importance of addressing the electricity crisis by starting sustainable strategic projects that depend on alternative energy sources and less expensive fuels.
This came when he met on Monday, with the Director-General of the General Electricity Corporation in the capital, Aden, Eng. Salem Al-Walidi, who briefed him on the total difficulties and challenges facing the Corporation with the advent of the summer season, in light of the dependence of many power plants on diesel, which is expensive.
President Al-Zubaidi stressed the importance of the government power-sharing to carry out its duty in providing fuel to power plants, which would improve service, in light of a very hot summer in the capital, Aden, and the coastal governorates, stressing that this comes at the core of its tasks.
For his part, Eng. Al-Walidy valued the efforts made by President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi to overcome difficulties facing the Corporation to improve service and alleviate the suffering of citizens.
