Ben Brik meets Deputy head of Southern Community in KSA

Major General Ahmed Saeed Ben Brik, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), met, onTuesday, with Sheikh Abdullah Al-Hadrami, deputy head of the Southern Community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In the meeting, Major General Ben Brik welcomed Sheikh Abdullah and those come with him, and exposed a brief overview of activities of the National Assembly, its administrative body, monitoring role over the State institutions, correcting contortions and fighting corruption that have become rampant in corridors of institutions.

Ben Brik reviewed, with the deputy head and members of the Community, the outcomes of Riyadh consultations, its reflections on the ground, and implications of the upcoming stage, in the South, which requires unifying the southern efforts, to be able to overcome this critical stage.

In his speech, Major General Bin Brik has indicated approaching of the date to hold the fifth session of the National Assembly, which is scheduled to be held in June13-14, 2022, to discuss topics concern the National Assembly and this current situation in the country.

For his part, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Hadrami conveyed to the chairman of the Assembly greetings of people of the southern community in the KSA, wishing him continued good health, after that he discussed the general situation and activities of the Southern community.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Saleh Mohammed Saleh Al-Hashemi, deputy head of the Community in the Eastern Province, Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Awaliq, Secretary General of the Southern Community in Dammam, Mr. Samir Khalid Al-Malawi Al-Dhaleai, representative of the community in Al-Dhalea governorate, Mr. Salah Naser Bahaj, head of media department for the Southern Community in the Saudi Arabia, and a number of leaders of the STC in Hadramout.
