President Al-Zubaidi Meets Governor of Abyan Governorate

The president Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Deputy head of the Presidential Leadership Council, on Tuesday, met the governor of Abyan governorate, Major General Abu Bakr Hussein Salem.

The president Al-Zubaidi listened from the governor of Abyan to a satisfied explanation on the general situation in the governorate, the difficulties encountering work of the local authority in providing basic service to citizens, and suggestions of possible solutions to secure the minimum limit of service for people of the governorate.

The president Al-Zubaidi was briefed by Major General Abu Bakr Hussein on the security situation in the governorate, and the exerted efforts by the security services, foremost of which are the Security Belt Forces, to impose security and stability, arrest terrorist elements, and combat all forms of crimes.

The president Al-Zubaidi stressed the importance of redoubling efforts and coordinating work among all sectors to alleviate suffering of people of Abyan, who have endured so much during the past period.

The president emphasized the necessitate need of Abyan to take its natural place in the economic development, due to its characteristics; including the natural terrains, diverse climate, and infrastructures attracting investment, as well as its important geographic location.

For his part, Major General Abu Bakr Hussein expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the president Al-Zubaidi for the attention he pays to Abyan governorate, and his constant keenness to overcome the difficulties or obstacles that may hinder the work of the local authority.
