Shatara Directs Members of the Assembly in the Capital Aden to Exert Efforts Lead to City Promotion
Mr. Lutfi Shatara, member of Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Deputy chairman of the National Assembly, on Tuesday, called for the memebers of the Assembly of the capital Aden to exert more efforts to bring about a qualitative change in the capital Aden, by activating the role of team work members in its districts and touching on concerns and issues of the citizens.
The meeting, which was chaired by Ms. Nadera Abdul-Qudous, deputy head of the Information Committee in the Assembly, reviewed several issues, troubles and concerns that the city of Aden is just enduringly encountering, and has majorly come to the surface during the last period like the deteriorative situation in all the service, social and educational sectors, which, in turn, have highly exacerbated the distress of the citizens in entirety of this stricken city, the meeting also touched on the extent of rampant corruption in all State institutions, governmental utilities, and ways that can contribute to its delimitation.
The meeting has shed light on the security service, maintaining security and public tranquility, highlighted the need to qualify and train those affiliated with all military and security establishments.
The meeting has, too, focused on the necessity of activating the role of the Central Organization for Control and Auditing and the Supreme National Anti-Corruption Commission to identify failure rate in the performance, as the vanished role of these crucial bodies have definitely contributed to trouble-occurring and entire city problems that have distinctly been raised and miserably experienced in Aden and by all its people.
To the end of that meeting, the attendees have stressed the need to put aside all political differences, and should not be linked with the vital sectors that are directly related to the life and living of citizens in the city of Aden, and to arrange an appointment with the governor of the capital Aden to present to him all the topics and issues that have been discussed during the meeting.
