President Al-Zubaidi reviews work progress Social Welfare Fund

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, deputy chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, met on Wednesday, with Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Zauri, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, and the Board of Directors of the Social Welfare Fund headed by Najla Al-Sayyad, Executive Director of the Fund.
In the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi got briefed on the work progress in the Social Welfare Fund, and the difficulties encountered in the workflow and the efforts made by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor to activate the work of the Fund, to restore its headquarters in all governorates, expand the scope of its work and enable it to implement the projects entrusted to it.
In the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi directed the Prime Minister and Minister of Social Affairs and Labor to work with international partners to enable the Social Welfare Fund to play its role within its jurisdiction, foremost among which is returning the UNICEF-financed emergency cash transfer project to the Fund, as it is the competent authority to implement it.
For his part, Minister Al-Zauri expressed his thanks and gratitude for all the efforts made by President Al-Zubaidi to advance state institutions and activate their activities in the service of citizens, praising his role in supporting the Social Welfare Fund to restore its role as a national institution that serves millions of citizens of the poorest groups.
