Al-Ghaithi calls on UN envoy to provide comprehensive framework for peace process

The head of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission, Head of the Directorate of Foreign Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council. Mr. Mohammad Al-Ghaithi, met, at his residence in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, the UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, and his deputy.
During the meeting, Al-Ghaithi stressed the importance of presenting a comprehensive framework for the political process, as it is the true test of intentions towards peace, and that it includes all national, regional and international commitments and agreements, including the outcomes of the Riyadh consultations.
Al-Ghaithi pointed out to the importance of forming the negotiating delegation of the Presidential Leadership Council, refusing to continue dealing with issues in a fragmented manner in order to achieve real progress in the peace process under the auspices of the United Nations.
Al-Ghaithi stressed the need for the international community and the UN envoy to bear responsibility for the practices of the terrorist Houthi militia, whose recent attacks in Taiz prove clear intentions to reject and disrupt peace efforts, and to repudiate the truce.
In turn, the UN envoy revealed the nature of his efforts for peace at the local, regional and international levels, stressing that he is making double efforts to ensure that war does not return during the next stage.
