General Secretariat of STC’s Presidency Launches Awareness Campaign Under Slogan “Terrorism has Neither Religion Nor Homeland”

The Department of Thought and Guidance of the General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council ( STC) on Sunday in the Capital, Aden, launched a comprehensive public awareness campaign on the risks of terrorism and fanatic ideas under the slogan; “Terrorism has Neither Religion nor Homeland” under the generous patronage of President Aidaroos Qassim Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC.
At the beginning of the inauguration, which was attended by Mr. Esam Abdo Ali, in charge of the STC’s local leadership executive head in the capital Aden, Mr. Fadhl Mohammed Al-Gaadi, member of the Presidium of the STC, and the deputy secretary general, delivered a speech in which he welcomed all the participants, valued the efforts made by the department, and stressed the importance of delivering the right message to all the governorates of the South, in particular, and to the external community in general, in rejecting extremism, fanaticism and other negative phenomena intruding into our community.
Mr. Al-Gaadi highlighted the significance of the societal address against aligned phenomena, in addition to the political confrontation that the South has been conducting, and wished success to all participants in the national and religious tasks.
Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Bahr, deputy head of the department, gave a speech in which he also welcomed all the attendees, and reviewed the program of the campaign in raising public awareness, as well as the steps that will be taken in all governorates of the South against extremism and terrorist ideology, indicating certain models of the campaign with various means like lectures, pamphlets and posters that raise public awareness against these phenomena in schools, colleges and mosques in all districts and governorates of the South.
The Secretariat launched this comprehensive awareness-raising campaign under the slogan “Terrorism has neither religion nor homeland” with a broad action plan that included printing more than “10,000” qualitative posters, and more than “60,000” awareness brochures for citizens in various places and gatherings in all governorates of the South.
It is worth noticing that the raising-awareness campaign coincides with the continuation of the military operation “Arrows of the East” in its fourth stage.
