STC’s General Directorate of Foreign Affairs Holds Periodic Meeting Chaired by Al-Ghaithi

SMA NEWS – ADEN THE CAPITAL
Mr. Mohammed al-Ghaithi, director of the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs (GDFA) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), chaired, on Saturday, in the capital Aden, the regularly scheduled meeting in the presence of Mr. Anis Al-Sharafi, the deputy director of GDFA.
In the meeting, which was attended by a team of advisors and heads of departments and, through videoconferencing, representatives of its offices abroad, Mr. Al-Gaithi conveyed the greetings of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the president of the STC, the Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, while reviewing the outcomes of external consultations and meetings with the countries sponsoring the comprehensive political process and the developments in the political situation both at the regional and international levels.
Mr. Al-Ghaithi reaffirmed the vision adopted by the STC on the comprehensive political process, as well as the utmost need to develop a specific negotiating track for the cause of the South in accordance with the commitments contained in the outcomes of the GCC consultations, indicating that the top important pillars for lasting peace and stability are fulfilling the aspirations of the people of the South and determining their legitimate right to a fully independent state.
Al-Ghaithi added that any consultations that take no consideration of the basic reality—the roots and causes of the conflict—will have no chance of success, and what happened during the past years proves this clear-cut fact, indicating that the Houthi terrorist militia bears responsibility for aggravating economic and humanitarian conditions and that any unjustified concessions or nonconsensual solutions are unacceptable and may create a new round of war and prolong the conflict.
He was briefed by the heads of departments and representatives of GDFA abroad on the different political and media activities and lauded all the exerted efforts by one and all, urging them to do more to advance the cause of the South and bring it to various international fora.
