Al-Houthis Retreat and Iran Mixes Cards through Providing Robot Plans

Al-Arab newspaper indicated that using these plans smuggled from Iran is an escalation from Al-Houthis, driven by Tehran, to complicate the Yemeni file and hinder any peace efforts as part of its war with Saudi Arabi and other regional rivals. Al-Houthis used these plans to attack Saudi soil randomly, in addition to using Iranian Ballistic missiles. Tactically, these robot plans make Al-Houthis capable of maneuvering without actual engagement as the militias’ capabilities of ground engagement decreased significantly recently. On the other hand, Iran is using robot plans and ballistic missiles to mix the game cards and increase the complexity of the Yemeni file. The militias use Al-Hodeida port as a smuggling point for these plans, but recently they suffered from a series of significant defeats on the west coast. UAE air defenses controlled the robot plan (Quasef 1) and indicated that it was carrying explosives. Military experts indicated that approaching the red sea with this type of plans is an additional threat to international navigation. It is noteworthy that Al-Houthis previously used sea mines, boat bombs and missiles against ships navigating this naval path. Al-Houthis said that the ballistic missiles and robot plans they use are home-made. But experts indicated that such a thing is impossible under normal conditions, not mentioning war conditions in Yemen. It is now established that these weapons are Iranian. Yemeni prime minister, Ahmed Obaid Ben Daghar, indicated that Al-Houthis are using Al-Hodeida seaport, west of Yemen, to receive missiles and weapons smuggled from Iran. Ben Daghar considered such acts as major factors for prolonging the war and suffering in Yemen.
