President Al-Zubaidi meets with the Egyptian ambassador

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, President Aidaroos Qassem Al-Zubaidi, met on Wednesday, with Mr. Ahmed Farouk, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Yemen.
In the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi welcomed the Egyptian ambassador, expressing his congratulations on behalf of the people of the South to his brother, His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the Egyptian government, and brotherly Egyptian people on the occasion of the anniversary of the victory of the tenth of Ramadan, and his sincere wishes to Egypt and its people continued progress, prosperity, and prosperity.
The meeting discussed developments of the political and economic conditions in our country, and regional and international efforts to end the war and bring peace to the country through a comprehensive political process that includes all parties of the conflict, in order to ensure a just and sustainable solution to all issues, especially the issue of the people of the South.
The meeting also stood before the recent measures taken by the Egyptian authorities that are related to organizing travel procedures to their lands, and the measures that the Egyptian government may take in the future, to facilitate the entry of Yemeni citizens and the fulfillment of their destinations, in accordance with the followed laws and regulations.
During the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi valued the original positions of the sister Republic of Egypt alongside our people throughout history, stressing that Egypt was and will remain the main destination for the people of the South, and Yemen in general, especially as it is the sister country that opened its doors to millions of our people who sought refuge in it to escape the scourge of war, or to receive treatment, or to study.
For his part, the Egyptian ambassador affirmed Egypt’s firm position on the side of our people, and the Egyptian leadership’s support for all the efforts made by the Presidential Leadership Council and the government of power-sharing in leading the country towards peace and stability, reiterating Egypt’s support for efforts to end the war and establish peace through a comprehensive political process that includes all parties.
Ambassador Farouk also affirmed the Egyptian government’s keenness to provide all facilities to Yemenis who go to Egypt for residence, medical care, or study, stressing that the measures taken by the Egyptian authorities related to organizing travel and residence in Egypt included a number of Arab and foreign nationalities, and have nothing to do with any other considerations.
