A 5.9 magnitude earthquake hits off the coast of Shabwa
SMA NEWS – ATAQ
An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9, below sea level, hit in the Gulf of Aden off the coast of the Shabwa governorate.
Experts ruled out the occurrence of a marine tsunami hitting the coast of the South, despite the monitoring of 10 moderate and strong marine seismic tremors in the depth of the Gulf of Aden.
They expressed their concern about the occurrence of the seismic swarm, stressing that it does not seem reassuring due to the successive number and strength of earthquakes deep in the sea.
