Foreign Affairs of STC emphasizes status of the South and its national cause to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable peace

The General Directorate of Foreign Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its periodic meeting on Sunday, in the capital, Aden, headed by Anis Al-Sharafi, Vice Head of the directorate .
During the meeting, which was attended by the head and members of the team of diplomatic advisors, and heads of sections in the capital, Aden, and through visual communication, the directorate representatives abroad, Al-Sharafi reviewed the results of the visit of the President of Southern Transitional Council, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, and his accompanying delegation to the United Kingdom, as well as the visit of the delegations of the Transitional Council to the two kingdoms of the Netherlands and Norway.
The meeting reviewed the progress of the southern diplomatic work, and the discussions that President Al-Zubaidi and officials of the STC were conducting with ministers, officials and ambassadors in Britain and European Union countries, and with international envoys and officials of international organizations to Yemen and international study centers and public opinion.
The meeting drew a noticeable international interest in the cause of the people of the South during the fruitful meetings that were held, during which it was emphasized that the just cause of the people of the South is an integral part of the course of the political process, and not to compromise on the right of the people of the South to restore and build their independent, federal state.
The meeting praised the effective diplomatic activity played by representatives of foreign affairs in the mandate countries, through coordination with various governmental and non-governmental agencies interested in southern affairs.
The attendees listened to briefings by representatives of foreign affairs in the United States and the Russian Federation, on diplomatic contacts, activities and programs in which they participated at, and a number of proposals and recommendations that were circulated to the southern political leadership, which would strengthen the mechanisms of southern diplomacy and elevate them to levels of better performance, quality, efficiency and effectiveness with various international actors at the regional and international levels.
