Supplying power stations in Aden the capital with poor fuel shipments

The Electricity Corporation in the capital, Aden, on Sunday, demanded the need to check the quality of diesel after a number of generators of government and private stations stopped as a result of providing them with poor shipments that did not conform to operating specifications.
In a statement, it indicated that the concerned parties were notified of the provision of fuel, stressing that the current diesel combustion has caused a significant increase in the proportion of carbon emissions in the air and the rapid deterioration of the filters used to protect the generators.
The Electricity Corporation called for the speedy supply of fuel to power stations that meet operating requirements, in order to avoid damage to their generators or the suspension of more purchased power stations from service.
