Major General Al-Bahsani gets briefed on activity of local authority in Hadramout governorate

Major General Faraj Salmin Al-Bahsani, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council, member of the Presidential Leadership Council, on Wednesday, was briefed on the activities of the local authority in Hadramout Governorate, and types of work difficulties it faces, besides what it has done and what has been achieved by it since the appointment period.

This came during his meeting with the leadership of the local authority in the governorate, represented by Governor Mabkhout bin Madi, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Local Council, Saleh Al-Amqi, and a number of governorate officials and directors of service offices.

The meeting touched on the status of the leadership of the local authority in Hadramout governorate, after the terrorist attacks carried out by the Houthi militia on the oil installations at Al-Dhaba oil port in the last quarter of the past year, which led to an exacerbation of the economic situation, and the interruption of Hadramout allocations of oil revenues estimated at 20%, and its reflection negatively on the tasks of the authority in Hadramout in carrying out its duties, in addition to the responsibilities of the higher authorities that must be carried out towards the governorate.

In the meeting, Major General Al-Bahsani renewed his support for the leadership of the local authority, and its assistance in transferring thorny files to the higher leaderships and following them up to carry out their duties and responsibilities towards the governorate and its people, praising the cohesion of the leadership of the local authority, and the efforts exerted collectively to work to improve the reality of services and upgrade them in Hadramout.
