President Al-Zubaidi Chairs Meeting with Military Commanders and Security Officers in the capital, Aden

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), chaired today, Saturday, a meeting with military commanders and security officers in the capital, Aden.

In the beginning of the meeting, which included the governor of the capital, Aden, the head of the security committee of the capital, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, Major General Saleh Ali Hassan, Chief Joint Operations Staff, and Major General Shalal Shaia, commander of the counter-terrorism forces, President Al-Zubaidi commended the stable security situation in the capital, Aden, and pointed out that reaching this level of security stability is the result of huge ultimate sacrifices and immense efforts made by all.

President Al-Zubaidi stated that the goal of this meeting is to go over the security tasks that have been finished in the capital, Aden, and to discuss the best ways and mechanisms for the remaining tasks to preserve the security gains and achievements.

Furthermore, the president stressed the importance of raising operational coordination between all military and security units, strengthening interdependence between them, and requiring each to assume his responsibilities in order to ensure the effective implementation of the entrusted tasks, noting in the context that the stability of the security situation will have an impact on other fields and push the wheels of development and economic growth.

After that, the president listened to a range of opinions and suggestions from the present leaders to strengthen operational coordination between the military and security units and the mechanisms for distributing tasks as per the competence of each unit in a way that preserves public tranquility for citizens and highlights the prosperous and civilized facets of the capital, Aden, and took the appropriate measures in this respect.

The meeting was attended by Major General Kamal Hamshari, a member of the STC’s Presidium and office head of the President of the STC.
