STC’s Presidium Stands Before Houthi Escalation and Media Discourse

The Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its periodic meeting today, Monday, chaired by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC.

The meeting, which included the heads of the assisting commissions of the STC’s Presidium, stood before the continued attacks of the terrorist Houthi militia on the pickets of the Southern Armed Forces on various fronts in an attempt to thwart the regional and international calm endeavours, commended the enormously ultimate sacrifices and heroic epics that the Southern Armed Forces have been steadfastly achieving, in curbing the militia, and its aggressive tendency, praying to Allah, the Almighty, to bestow His vast mercy on the blessed martyrs who passed in defending the homeland of the South and protecting its citizens on various fronts, and the last of which was the heroic martyrs who repelled the aggression of the militia in Al-Had Yafe’a front, yesterday, Sunday.

In another context, the meeting discussed the report submitted by the head of the National Southern Media Authority (NSMA), which includes a presentation of the implemented activities during the period from May to August of this year 2023, where the meeting lauded the efforts exerted by NSMA to organize media work in the capital, Aden, and other governorates of the South.

The meeting underscored the importance of re-opening and re-operating all official media institutions in the capital, Aden, particularly Aden Radio and Television, and framing the media discourse. In this regard, the head of NSMA was assigned to sit with the political commission and relevant commissions and bodies to set clear orientations for the media discourse in line with the developments of the stage and serve the national aspirations of the people of the South.

The meeting then touched on a range of political, economic, and service developments related to the lives of citizens, in addition to topics related to the organizational work of the central and local bodies of the STC and the tasks entrusted to members of the Presidium in the upcoming period, and approved the appropriate measures.
