Arab League: Ceasefire and political settlement are unattainable goals in Yemen

The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Abu Al-Gheit, considered that a comprehensive ceasefire and political settlement in Yemen are still unattainable goals.

He said during the 160th session of the Arab League Council at the level of foreign ministers, on Wednesday, that the Iranian-backed Houthi militia is placing one obstacle after another in the way of the solution.

Abu Al-Gheit pointed out that the terrorist militia is working to ensure the continuation of the current situation, with its threat to institutions and a severe weakening of Yemen’s economy and its capabilities.
