Vice President of Southern Transitional Council reviews most prominent work activities of Ministry of Youth and Sports

Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council, was briefed on the most prominent work activities of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, during his meeting on Tuesday, in the capital, Aden, with Mr. Saad Abd Rabbo Al-Omari, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the Training and Rehabilitation Sector.

Major General Ahmed Bin Brik listened to an explanation from Mr. Saad Al-Omari, about the most prominent activities and work of the Ministry, which included establishing the College of Physical Education in partnership with the University of Aden and the Ministry of Higher Education, and in coordination with the Ministry of Education to return the physical education subject to the school curriculum, and establishing the Training and Rehabilitation Center for Youth. Which currently provides services targeting “6,000” young men and women, in aspects of job training, youth leadership programs, mental and public health, and other programs that serve youth.

The meeting reviewed all the difficulties facing the work of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, which included the failure to provide the funds for the youth and youth fund’s share from contractors, which hinders the implementation of some programs and projects related to youth and youth.

In the meeting, the Vice President of the Transitional Council stressed the need to intensify and expand the Ministry’s activities and work in a way that serves society and the youth group, urging the importance of making more practical efforts to meet the needs and aspirations of young people on the ground.

For their part, representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports expressed their thanks to Major General Ben Brik, appreciating his support and great keenness in paying attention to aspects of youth and sports, and his endeavor to overcome difficulties in this context.
