Minister of Transport says: There are arrangements for operating flights at Ataq Airport

Dr. Abdul Salam Humaid, Minister of Transport, and the Governor of Shabwa, Awad bin Al-Wazir, held a meeting in the capital, Aden, to discuss mechanisms of work and joint cooperation between the two sides to serve the public interest of citizens.
The two parties discussed the Qena Port project and the necessary facilities to open the way for investment in the governorate, considering the port is the sea gateway for exporting all products to several countries.
The Minister of Transport expressed the Ministry’s support for any projects related to the transport sector in the governorate, pointing out the necessity of developing and the gains of the transport sector in Shabwa, praising the security stability it has achieved that contributes to creating the atmosphere for investment.
Humaid revealed arrangements to open domestic flights through Ataq International Airport, after completing all technical requirements and equipment necessary to operate the airport, prior to operating international flights.
In turn, the Governor of Shabwa said that the governorate went through difficult circumstances, calling on the Ministry of Transport to support the efforts made to expand the scope for internal and external flights.
