President Al-Zubaidi concludes successful participation in the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly

President Aidaroos Qasim Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Southern Transitional Council, Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council, and his accompanying delegation, on Friday, concluded a successful participation in the seventy-eighth session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Upon his departure from the United Nations Headquarters, President Al-Zubaidi said, “My first visit to the United Nations General Assembly was a very moving and meaningful experience,” noting that he had held a useful dialogue with many leaders of countries from all over the world.
President Al-Zubaidi stated that his message to all the leaders of countries he met was to emphasize that the only viable solution to end the war in Yemen is to launch an inclusive and comprehensive political process under the auspices of the United Nations, stressing the need for this process to include the right of the people of the South to self-determination, as is their right under international law.
During his visit to New York, President Al-Zubaidi held fruitful high-level meetings with world leaders, ministers, United Nations agencies and decision-makers, led by United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, and Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
