Southern Journalists Syndicate concludes training courses in news writing skills

The Assistant Training and Qualification Authority for the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) concluded on Monday, in the capital, Aden, a training course on skills for writing news and news reports.

The course witnessed participation of 45 male and female trainees from media cadres in the governorates of Lahj, Abyan, and Al-Dhalea participated in the course, which took place in cooperation with the Southern Journalists and Media Members Syndicate.

At the conclusion of the training course, Dr. Abdullah Al-Haw, head of the political and media training sector at the Training and Rehabilitation Authority of STC, delivered a speech in which he said that this course came with the aim of developing and improving the work of the media cadre in the governorates of Lahj, Abyan, and Al-Dhalea, to enable them to convey the true image of the developments taking place in the southern arena and to contribute to communicating the issue of the people of the South to public opinion.

For his part, Mr. Aidroos Bahashwan, Head of the Southern Journalists and Media Members Syndicate, appreciated the efforts made by the Training and Qualification Authority of the Southern Transitional Council and its effective role in training southern media members, stressing the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Syndicate and the Training Authority, in order to serve the southern media cadre.

During the course days, which was presented by Mr. Nasr Bagharib, lecturer at the University of Aden, and extended from December 11 to 18, the trainees received a set of theoretical knowledge and practical exercises on how to write news in correct scientific ways, presented by the course trainer.
