Al-Kathiri Highlights Focusing on Developing Academic Programs, Specialized Staff and Scientific Competencies

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Chairman of the National Assembly in the Southern Transitional Council (STC), met on Tuesday with Dean of the College of Engineering, University of Aden, Dr. Saleh Mohammad Mubarak bin Hantoush.

During the meeting, which was attended by Brigadier General Ali Al-Shaiba, Advisor to the President of the STC, the Chairman of the Assembly was briefed by Dr. Bin Hantoush on the level of technical development and scientific progress reached by the College of Engineering in all its various scientific specializations, the efforts of the Deanship of the College to keep pace with the rapid technological development, and the interest in teaching students as per study plans and modern curricula to graduate with specialized competencies in all engineering fields.

Mr. Al-Kathiri praised the efforts of the Dean of the College in raising the scientific and technical level of students and keeping pace with rapid scientific and engineering developments, stressing the need to pay attention to developing academic programs, specialized staff, and graduating scientific competencies to contribute to achieving the aspirations of the community and meeting the needs of the labor market in the capital, Aden, and the South in general.
