Shabab Al-Ahly sweeps Sharjah and wins the UAE Super Cup for the sixth time in its history

Shabab Al-Ahly team was crowned the UAE Super Cup, for the sixth time in its history, after its exciting and dramatic 6-2 victory over Sharjah, on Friday evening.
Shabab Al-Ahly achieved a historic comeback against the Sharjah team, after the latter completely controlled the course of the game and scored two goals within only the first 26 minutes of the match.
Sharjah took an early lead through Guinean player Othman Kamara in the 8th minute, then strengthened its advantage with a second goal signed by veteran Malian Moussa Marega (26th minute).
The 32nd minute witnessed the biggest and most prominent turning point in the course of the match, after Shabab Al-Ahly got a penalty kick, and Abdulaziz Salem, the Sharjah player, was expelled after he prevented the ball from entering the net with his hand.
Shabab Al-Ahly players rose up and scored 3 consecutive goals, and took advantage of the numerical deficiency in the ranks of the Sharjah team, so that the first half ended with a score of 3-2, amidst a state of astonishment among all the players and fans.
Shabab Al-Ahly’s hat-trick came from Federico Cartabia (two goals) and Yahya Al-Ghassani, in the 36th, 43rd, and 45+5 minutes, respectively.
In the second half, Shabab Al-Ahly continued the series of excellence, scoring a hat-trick signed by Matthews Lima, Harib Abdullah and Youri Cesar, in the 68th, 79th and 88th minutes of the match.
With this result, Shabab Al-Ahly raises the total number of times it has won the UAE Super Cup to 6 full titles, a record at the tournament level in general.
