STC Secretariat Discusses Economic Landscape and Job Discipline Reports

The General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its periodic meeting on Wednesday in the capital, Aden, chaired by Mr. Fadhl Mohammed Al-Gaadi, member of the STC’s Presidium and Secretary-General of the General Secretariat.

The meeting discussed a report of the economic landscape on the southern national scene during the month of December of last year submitted by the Economic and Services Department, which included a number of economic developments, including the transfer and inspection of commercial vessels from the port of Jeddah to the port of Aden, in addition to how to re-operate the work of Aden’s refineries.

Furthermore, the meeting reviewed a report submitted by the Administrative and Financial Department related to the job discipline of the staff of the Secretariat during the month of December 2023, submitted by the Financial and Administrative Department.

In addition to that, the meeting touched on a range of developments in the southern arena, most notably the STC House of Commons holding its founding meeting in the capital, Aden, and the final statement issued by it, which will work to strengthen the role of the cause of the people of the South in the final solution negotiations and the position of the STC on regional issues, the most important of which is confronting threats to the safety and security of international maritime navigation.

The meeting shed light on the weekly activity report of departments of the Secretariat, which included the work that was carried out during the aforementioned period, as well as reviewing and approving the minutes of the previous meeting.
