An American warship shoots down a Houthi drone in the Red Sea

US Central Command announced that a warship had shot down a drone launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militia in international waters south of the Red Sea.

It was revealed that the American ship Laboon shot down the Houthi drone, in self-defense, in international waters in the southern Red Sea near many commercial ships.

In its statement, it denied any reports of injuries or damage.

The Iranian-backed Houthi militia continues to target commercial ships, shipping lines, and shipping traffic in the Bab al-Mandab Strait, destabilizing the region.
