Bin Madi reviews progress of second phase of Khor Al-Mukalla project

Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, Governor of Hadramaut, on Saturday, visited the Khor Al-Mukalla project to see the progress of the second phase of its implementation. He also inspected the work of pouring the retaining walls and the pile work for the pedestrian bridge.

The project includes the ongoing excavation work for the water canal, with a length of 850 metres, a total area of 47,150 metres, and a width ranging between 50 and 60 metres, with a percentage of 85% of the excavation work for the canal having been completed.

bin Madi reviewed the progress of work in constructing two branching water canals, the first in connection with the first phase and the second connected to the Jisr al-Kitab area, where cleaning plaster of the canal walls equivalent to 2,200 cubic meters was carried out.

The implementation of stone walls measuring 1,300 meters and concrete canal walls began, with a completion rate of 16%.

The project includes two bridges, the first is the Chinese Bridge, 165 meters long and 25 meters wide, and the second is Al-Munawarah Bridge, 70 meters long and 25 meters wide.
