The Governor of the capital, Aden, inaugurates two service projects in the capital

Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, Governor of the capital, Aden, on Sunday, launched the work of the wastewater and rehabilitation project of the pumping station in Crater, within the second phase of the Emergency Project for Integrated Urban Services, at a cost of $1.989 million, and financed by the World Bank.
The project, supervised by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), consists of the supply and installation of polyethylene pipes with a pressure of 10 bar, a diameter of 560 mm and a length of 3,500 meters, from sewage station in Sira to the connection point in Khormaksar District.
The project includes restoration work on the main sewage pump in Sira District, including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical works.
Accompanied by the resident representative of UNICEF, Peter Hawkins, Lamlas inaugurated the project to rehabilitate the water distribution line in Al-Tawahi District, at a cost of 807 thousand dollars, with funding from the German Bank, which includes changing a water pipe with a diameter of 16 inches and a length of 2,800 meters, from Hayel roundabout to Hujaif roundabout in Al-Mualla District, and installing A pressure relief valve, a bypass pipeline at Hujaif roundabout to prevent main line failures, and an inspection gate from the station to Hujaif roundabout.
